Tech FAQs

Please read through these Frequently Asked Questions for answers to the most popular tech-related questions.

  1. Does SENY offer virtual meeting hosting for regional groups or for non-SENY events?

No, SENY only provides virtual and hybrid meeting hosting for SENY committees, and our own events. If your home group is seeking support for virtual meeting hosting, please contact your local Intergroup office.

  2. How do I host a hybrid meeting for my home group?

SENY hosted a hybrid meeting workshop to guide you in this process. Please use our resources here.

  3. I’m hosting a hybrid meeting for my home group or an upcoming event. How do I keep the experience equitable to both in-person and online attendees?

SENY encourages the practice of Robert’s Rules for Business Meetings, and standing group consciences for your group’s chosen hybrid meeting format, shares, and connectivity. Best practice is often to hold a Special Business Meeting online before your hybrid meetings begin, to take a group conscience on how the hybrid meeting with function. If you would like a SENY representative to moderate your group’s Special Business Meeting, please contact our Delegate, here.

  4. My meeting is having technical issues. Who do I contact for support?

SENY’s Tech and Web representatives can sometimes help troubleshoot technical issues via email, here. However, on-site technological help is often more helpful. If your group is hosting online or hybrid meetings, SENY’s Technology and Communications Committee recommends electing a technical specialist or tech officer for your group, so you have a more direct point of contact.
