Download a map of the park here.  Sweet Hollow Hall is in the southwest of the park off Gwynne Road, and is wheelchair accessible.

By car:

From the Northern State Parkway (no commercial traffic), take exit 40 onto NY Route 110 South.  The first traffic light is Old Country Road, turn right.  The next traffic light is Sweet Hollow Road, turn right again.  Go past the cemetery and under the Parkway (the stone bridge).  Take the first left onto Gwynne Road.  There is a sign for West Hills County Park on the corner (the sign faces south).  Sweet Hollow Hall is to the right of the dead end.

From the Long Island Expressway (I-495), take exit 49 onto NY Route 110 north.  Go about ½ north on Rt. 110 to Pinelawn Road/Sweet Hollow Road.  Turn left onto Sweet Hollow Road.  Proceed as above from Sweet Hollow Road.

From NY Route 110: If you are coming from north of the Northern State Parkway and going south on NY Route 110, you can make a right turn directly onto Gwynne Road just BEFORE the parkway.  Since NY Route 110 is a divided highway at that point, you cannot turn left directly onto Gwynne Road going north.

From the Southern State Parkway (no commercial traffic), take Wellwood Avenue north.  This becomes Pinelawn Road.  Go past all the cemeteries, cross the Long Island Expressway and cross NY Route 110.  You will see the Melville Fire Department on your left.  Keep going.  The road is now called Sweet Hollow Road.  Cross Old Country Road (the light after the fire department), go under the stone bridge (Northern State Parkway) and take the first left onto Gwynne Road.  Proceed as above (under Northern State Parkway) from Gwynne Road.

By Public Transit:

MTR/LIRR (Port Jefferson Branch) to Huntington (Huntington Station).  Car service south on NY Route 110 (New York Avenue) to Gwynne Road to Sweet Hollow Hall (as above under Northern State Parkway), less than 5 miles.
