The 20th Northeast Regional AA Service Assembly (NERAASA) is hosted by South Eastern New York (SENY), Area 49, in Tarrytown, NY the weekend of February 25-27, 2011.

About NERAASA:

What is the purpose of NERAASA?
The purpose of NERAASA is for General Service Representatives (GSR's), District Committee Members (DCM's), Area Officers, Area Committee Members, District Committee Members, and Intergroup/Central Office Representatives of the Northeast Region to discuss General Service Conference related issues and concerns affecting AA as a whole, as well as pertinent aspects of recovery, unity and service common to the areas of the Northeast Region.

What happens at NERAASA?
NERAASA is a weekend of panel presentations and floor discussions on issues affecting AA today; the Northeast Regional Trustee's report; Saturday dinner followed by an AA speaker meeting. In addition, there are several round table sharing sessions throughout the weekend. They include (but are not limited too): General Service Representatives (GSR's), District Committee Members (DCM's), Archives, Cooperation with the Professional Community (CPC), Public Information (PI), Corrections, Treatment Facilities (TF), Grapevine, Area Officers, Intergroup/Central Offices, Website, and Alternate and Area Delegates.

When and where is NERAASA held?
NERAASA is scheduled for the last full weekend of February each year, rotating throughout the 18 different Delegate Area's of the Northeast Region.

Who should attend NERAASA?
All AA members are welcome and encouraged to attend!


¿Cuál es el propósito de NERAASA?

By Car from the North

I-684: Take I-684 south to I-287 (Cross Westchester Expressway) west. Proceed west on I-287 to Exit 1. Merge right on the exit ramp onto Route 119 west. At the light, make a U-turn. Hotel will be on the right.


By Car from the South

Throgs Neck Bridge: Take Cross Island Parkway north to the Throggs Neck Bridge to the Bronx. Follow I-295 (Cross Bronx Extension) to I-95 (Cross Bronx Expressway) to Exit4B (Bronx River Parkway) north. Stay on Bronx River Parkway north for 7.6 miles then bear left onto Sprain Brook Parkway north. After 9 miles exit left onto I-287 (Cross Westchester Expressway) west. Proceed west on I-287 to Exit 1. Merge right on the exit ramp onto Route 119 west. At the light, make a U-Turn. Hotel will be on the right.

Triborough Bridge: Triborough Bridge to the Bronx; I-87 (Deegan Expressway) north into Westchester to Exit 9. Turn right onto Route 119 east. Go east 1.4 miles. Hotel is on the right.

Whitestone Bridge: Take the Cross Island Parkway north to the Whitestone Bridge to the Bronx; Hutchinson River Parkway north to I-287 (Cross Westchester Expressway) west. Proceed west on I-287 to Exit 1. Merge right on the exit ramp onto Route 119 west. At the light, make a U-Turn. Hotel will be on the right.


By Car from the East

Merritt Parkway: Take the Merritt Parkway west to the Hutchinson River Parkway south to I-287 (Cross Westchester Expressway) west. Proceed west on I-287 to Exit 1. Merge right on the exit ramp onto Route 119 west. At the light, make a U-Turn. Hotel will be on the right.


By Car from the West

George Washington Bridge/Cross Bronx Expressway: Take Henry Hudson Parkway north, cross Henry Hudson Bridge and continue north. Name changes to Saw Mill River Parkway. Continue north on Saw Mill River to Exit 21W. Follow ramp off parkway to Main St/119, turn right and follow Route 119 west beneath the parkway and then under I-287. At the light, make a U-turn. Hotel will be on the right.

Tappan Zee Bridge: Take Tappen Zee Bridge south into Westchester to Exit 9; turn right onto Route 9 north. Go 1/4 mile, turn right onto Route 119 east. Go east 1.4 miles. Hotel will be on the right.


Public Transportation

Take Metro North (Hudson Line) from Grand Central Station, NY to Tarrytown Station. Local taxi service to hotel, about 2 miles.
