Intergroup/Central offices are often the front door to AA for the alcoholic who still suffers and others interested in finding AA locally.  The SENY Intergroup Liaison serves to foster and support effective communication and cooperation between and among SENY and the several Intergroup/Central Offices and Answering Services in SENY. It does so by holding quarterly liaison meetings and otherwise serving as a conduit for information.

More information on SENY's Intergroup Liaison activities is available in the SENY Service Handbook and on the Standing/Ad Hoc Committee Events page if not listed here.  A listing of the many Intergroup/Central Office and Answering Service resources in SENY and beyond is available on the Intergroup/Central Offices page on this site.

Intergroup/Central Office/AA World Services/AA Grapevine Seminar

For many years AAWS has supported an annual Intergroup/Central Office Seminar. Originally started to help AAWS work more closely with the Intergroups on issues related to the distribution of AA literature, the Seminar has evolved into a mainstay for cooperation among the Intergroup/Central Offices in the US and Canada and AAWS involving shared experience on a range of topics not limited to AA literature. In more recent years the AA Grapevine has been closely involved in supporting the Seminar as well.

The Seminar offers a chance for representatives from the approximately 600 Intergroups/Central Offices in the US and Canada to get together with representatives from AAWS and AAGV to share ideas, experience and concerns on topics of common interest. The seminar is hosted around the US and Canada by the various participating Intergroups/Central Offices, and is an excellent opportunity for new Intergroup/Central Office trusted servants to learn and for more experienced participants to collectively problem solve on questions of common interest.

The next annual Intergroup/Central Office/AAWS/AAGV Seminar will be the weekend of September 29, 2011 in Tucson, AZ. Go to the events page for more info.
